Favicon Generator – Create ICO and PNG Icons
Upload a logo or icon and generate one ICO file for every selected browser-tab, shortcut or Windows icon size.
Free favicon generator
Create ICO favicon files from PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP, BMP or GIF images. Generate common browser and app icon sizes, then download individual ICO files or one ZIP archive directly in your browser.
Upload a logo or icon and generate one ICO file for every selected browser-tab, shortcut or Windows icon size.
The favicon is generated in your browser, so your source image is not sent to a server.
Download any generated ICO size individually, or save all selected sizes together in one ZIP archive.
Website favicon workflow
Generate separate ICO sizes, download the files you need, then upload the preferred favicon to your site and reference it from the document head or conventional /favicon.ico path.
Choose a simple logo fragment, monogram or symbol that remains clear at 16×16 instead of shrinking an entire detailed wordmark.
Create separate 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 128×128 and 256×256 ICO files, then keep only the resolutions your project needs.
Browsers cache favicons aggressively. After replacing the file, clear the site cache or temporarily version the favicon URL while testing.
Format-specific help
Many sites rename the preferred generated file to favicon.ico and place it at the web root as /favicon.ico. You can also reference another filename or location with a link rel="icon" element in the page head.
Browser and search caches may keep the previous icon. Confirm the new file is publicly accessible, then clear caches and allow time for recrawling.
Each selected size is generated as its own ICO file. You can download individual files or download all generated sizes together in one ZIP archive.
PNG or SVG is preferred for a clean logo. JPG is suitable for a photographic favicon, but it cannot contain transparency.
